Hangers, initiated by Nisha Adhikari and Sahana Bajracharya, is a clothing exhibition of brands like tfnc. The exhibition started yesterday (8th April) on a Friday morning and carries on till the 12th and also showcases the new jewellery line of our very own Tenzin Tseten Bhutia (a small typo in the invitation).
In the mood to look around places, I dropped in at Imago Dei, where the exhibition is taking place. It was a rather quite hour when we arrived and people were slowly starting to appear. Since it was a Friday, they sort of expected lesser people and not much commotion. But the exhibition is believed to gain more momentum on a Saturday when people are free from their professional commitments.
Those who are looking for a party wear for the upcoming Nepali New Year Eve, you should definitely not miss this exhibition. I saw sequin dresses and vest, backless lace dress and more and more dresses to fit your fashion radar and also casual summer dresses: cinched at the sides, made from scarves, florals prints, stars, sleeveless, with sleeves. So what will you have on your hangers this season?
The same can be said about Tenzin's jewellery line 'jewel de creativite'. Working together with a local company in Sikkim, Tenzin started his jewellery line. Especialy made from beads, brass and stones, you can see lots of color. In short, his jewellery line is full of life. Cute earrings, cuffs, belts, rings and necklaces. I ended buying myself 'a piece of him', the way he likes to describe it.
